In spite of threatening
weather, there was a
good turnout; 9 fliers
and an equal number
of spectators.
John Eggum was the
CD for the Bomb Drop
and did an excellent
job.
John Nowikowski
probably should get
points for the
construction of his
bomb.
It's a bomb that will last
a lifetime made from a
dowel rod, a large nut,
and plywood!
Brian Huckstep gets
his electric ready for
the fun fly.
Alex Lach has one of
the neatest tool
holders on his field
box.
Bob Laitman used a
dowel rod held on with
rubber bands...
...and washers tied
together with a string
for his "bomb". Don't
laugh, he came in 2nd
Place!
Jim Ansel accidentally
rolled over the number
one on takeoff. That
never happened
before.
Ed Lipka fires up the
Goldberg Falcon. This
plane does not want to
land; flies beautifully!
Here is the frequency
flag board. I was
surprised not to see at
least one of the new
2.4 Ghz radios.
Jim Ansel's bomb did
not want to exit his
electric Telemaster.
Jim made some
perfect tail up landings
with this beauty.
Greg digs a little
deeper to get the
bomb release to work.
Contest director John
Eggum (R) watches
Ed Lipka make his
approach.
Team Parenti
prepares for Gary's
takeoff.
Alex Lach gets ready
to takeoff with his
Druine Turbulent. It is
a beautiful plane. I
believe that Alex built
if from plans.
Ed Lipka used one of
the bombs available
from Hobby Lobby but
made his own release
mechanism.
Brian Huckstep
entered his e-flite
electric stick and a
bean for the bomb. He
had to roll upside
down to drop the
bean.
I wonder if the bean
was a coffee bean.
Gary Parenti and Ed
Lipka had a flyoff to
determine 3rd Place.
Gary toasted it with
this 4 point placement.
Ed dropped his bomb
and it landed in the 4
point ring, but
bounced out into the 3
point ring.
Left to right; Gary
Parenti- 3rd Place,
Bob Laitman-2nd
Place, Greg Meyer-1st
Place. Greg said that
this was his first Fun
Fly in a long time.
Congratulations all
participants!
